Heritage 8th Graders Share at the Gallatin County Nursing Home

On Monday June 17th the 8th grade class went to the Gallatin Valley Nursing Home.

They joined the hymn singing and shared about their favorite sights on their Washington D.C. Trip. They sang "God Bless America" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic".

Some of the places mentioned were Mount Vernon, the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and Gettysberg.

About 20 residents enjoyed the program and seeing the young people. At the end of the time, the students helped wheel some of the folks back to their rooms.

Heritage 1st and 2nd Graders Visit Spring Meadows

On May 22 the 2nd grade class, along with the 1st graders, visited the residents of Spring Meadows.

The 1st and 2nd graders have a long-standing relationship with the Spring Meadows community thanks to their monthly treks to the retirement community to sing and visit with their gracious and appreciative friends.

The residents not only enjoy the visits, but they share a special bond with the children. They have blessed the kids with grace-filled nuggets of wisdom and an opportunity for the children to break out of their shells and love on others with the love of Jesus.

During the May 22nd visit, the children came to spend time and enjoy doing an activity together - decorating cookies. What a sight!

Some of the residents enjoyed munching on the dazzling works of art, while others sat back and smiled as they watched the excitement and creativity of the children.

What a blessing it was, both to the students and their resident friends, to spend time together in a fun new way!

Heritage 7th Graders Clean Up the Durston Campus

On May 15th, the Heritage 7th grade class collected trash from the park and neighborhoods surrounding our Durston campus.

The trash team

Many hands made the work more fun, and it was amazing to see the amount of garbage embedded in the grass and dirt after the snow melt from winter.

It's all in a day's work.

Falcon Power!

It was a blessing to help and serve in this small way, and certainly made the neighborhood more beautiful for summer!

"And whatever you do, do it heartily,
as to the Lord and not to men."
